The business philosophy of Gwaltney & Associates is quite simple: Handle each and every transaction with integrity. No games. Full disclosure.* If there is bad news or additional expense needed to get the job done right, tell it like it is. "Claim time" is not the time for surprises.
We do the best job we can for our clients, balancing their needs, the client's business style, and current market conditions. We try to keep our pricing as low as possible, of course, but we never "bait-and-switch" or "leverage" accounts. If we loose an account to a specialty program, or another broker/agent (who rarely finds a better deal), we do not whine; we remain available for consultation. We do not look at any account or opportunity as lost, only the postponement of a continuing relationship.
As to our employee and associate relations, we do not require dresses and ties; we require honesty, diligence, and continuing education. We do not require anyone to "wine and dine" or compromise personal beliefs; we require punctuality, attention to detail, and a respectful work environment.
We recognize not all people appreciate this style of operation - many individuals and businesses shop price-only, or perhaps prefer the feel of leather waiting chairs, brass, oak, and tall buildings.
